The upstairs sleeping porch was added during the 1924 remodel. The sun parlor is right below us. This sleeping porch was used during the hot summer months. These open windows coupled with the second-story location provided a nice cross breeze since the home never had air conditioning. Florence has told us that she and Ruth would sometimes go downstairs and outside at night to the swimming pond between their house and the Keith Mansion to help cool themselves down before going to sleep.
